Applied Microsystems and Accelerated Technology Announce CodeTEST for the Nucleus RTOS
Providing the First Embedded Software Test and Analysis Toolset to Support Nucleus Users
REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 10, 2002--
Applied Microsystems Corp. (Nasdaq:APMC - news), developer of CodeTEST,
the leading embedded software test and analysis toolset, announced
today it will support the royalty-free real-time operating system,
Nucleus, developed by Accelerated Technology, Inc.(TM) (ATI).
This announcement marks the first time Nucleus users who span
telecommunications, consumer electronics, networking/datacom, Internet

retail automation, have a comprehensive toolset to conduct business
and safety-critical test and analysis of their embedded software
systems.
Applied's Vice President of Sales & Marketing Mark Budzinski

mass of users grow across many of the embedded systems industries
Applied serves. The decision to develop CodeTEST for Nucleus was a
logical next step to ensure these developers and QA teams would have
at their disposal a commercially available toolset built to test and
analyze performance, coverage, memory, and trace executions of the
most complex embedded systems being built today."
President of ATI Neil Henderson noted, "CodeTEST gives our Nucleus
customers another competitive boost in the marketplace. No longer is
it necessary for them to waste additional time and resources
developing tools in house. CodeTEST's established use and reputation
industry-wide, plus the fact that it meets the highest of industry
testing standards, including that of the FAA's DO-178B guidelines,
means our customers and their customers in turn can feel confident
Nucleus-based embedded systems have been tested and analyzed using the
best tools available."
Support for ATI's Nucleus RTOS is provided in CodeTEST version
3.5. Additionally, CodeTEST 3.5 has several exciting new advancements,
including Point to Point Timers(TM), data profiling for parent/child
functions, ISR performance impact measurements, and scripting
capabilities to automate repetitive tests.
